HELP FOR COMPUTER BEGINNERS

If the kids can do it so can you!
A number of our members have expressed a desire for help getting started with using computers, especially with using emails and browsing the internet.

To help them out, Frank Bunton has volunteered to run free classes for club members to assist them in this regard. These classes will be suitable for raw beginners but those with a bit more experience but having some problem will be welcome.

As the classes will be held in Frank's home, numbers must be very much limited.

If you would like to take part then give Frank a phone call on 4835 1812 or email him at

The content of these classes is also being put on the internet to enable those attending to revise what they learn. Click here to access them

Help is also available at the Long Jetty District Seniors Club in Thompson St, Long Jetty (just off The Entrance Rd). They have a dedicated computer room with 16 computers and a band of keen teachers, operating from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday, aimed purely at the Over 50s.

The lessons are hands on and people progress at their own pace. The lecturer will assess your knowledge level and start from there. There is always someone to help with any problem you might have. All users are allowed to progress at their own pace without feeling pressured.

For contact details please check out their web site - click here.
