How to determine your windows version number:-
Right Click on your "My Computer" Icon and select "Properties"
For Windows XP, in the window that appears, click on the "General" tab
(if it is not already selected) then look near the top of the window
for:-
System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
For Windows Vista & Windows 7, in the window that appears look near
the top for:-
Windows Edition
Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium etc.
or
Windows 7 Home Basic or Premium etc.
Copyright blah blah blah
Service Pack 1
Please show your version to include:-
XP or Vista or Windows 7
Home, Professional or Ultimate, etc.
Service pack Number, e.g. SP1 or SP2 or SP3
