USING LINKS IN THE WEB SITE

Please contact our Webmaster if you have any queries about these topics.

"Links" are parts of the text which, when you left click on them, will take you to another web page. Also, links might sometimes be made part of a picture, in which case left clicking on the picture will take you to that link. There are currently no pictures on the Forresters Beach Probus web site that have links attached but you are sure to come across them in other sites.

Links usually appear underlined and usually in a different colour to the rest of the text, such as Webmaster that appears at the start of this article.

You should note that, after you have visited a link, it will usually change colour to look like this: Webmaster.

These colour might be different for other web sites as the link colours can be changed in the web page coding.

Links to pages within our own web site are set up to replace the page you are currently viewing. To return to the previous page you can:-
  1. back buttonClick your backwards navigation button which is usually in the top left corner of your browser - in Internet Explorer it looks like this.

  2. Right click anywhere in the web page (except on a link or a picture) and select "Back" from the pop up menu.

Links to pages on OTHER web sites are set up to open in a NEW browser window. So when you have finished viewing that other site you can just click the windows CLOSE buttonClose buttonin the top right corner of your browser and your Forresters Beach web site page from whence you came should still be there.
