You may have heard about the Conficker worm (or virus) on the news especially around April 1st.
If you get an offer to install an anti virus protection program called Spyware Protect 2009 then DO NOT INTALL IT!! This program will actually install the virus onto your system!!!
This is a real threat - not one of the false ones that you hear about from time to time.

Click here for an "eye chart" which will give an indication of the possibility of your computer being infected with the Conficker worm.
If you have automatic
updates for Windows turned on and your computer is fully updated with
all the security patches then you should be reasonably safe from this
worm.
