These minutes are to be confirmed at the meeting on 13th January Meeting: Opened at 10-00 am. Attendance: Present 170, Apologies 35. Non-apologies 8. Visitors 5. President: Vivienne welcomed members and visitors and all travellers who had returned. Vivienne thanked Adolf Meyer for the new "Theatre Party" sign he had painted for Marlene. A collection at today’s Meeting of non-perishable Christmas items which would be given to the Salvation Army after our Christmas Dinner on December 3rd and Vivienne thanked the members for their great response. Reminder to all members of the six meeting attendance within one Membership Year. A Ruling by the Club. Tickets for the Premier’s Free Christmas Concert would be drawn at the end of the Meeting. Nomination Forms for the Management Committee would be available at the January Meeting and the Annual General Meeting would be in March. Remembrance Day; Captain Peter Thomson would call for a one minute silence at 11.00am followed by the reading of the Oath. Melbourne Cup Luncheon; Vivienne thanked Graham and Marilyn Nester for the successful event and also thanked the models of the fashion parade. Best ladies hat award was won by Faye Smith and male hat by Tony Scott. Induction: Vivienne inducted Ray and Rhonda Danckert as members of the Forresters Beach Probus Club and presented them with their certificate and constitution and club’s ‘Standing Orders’. Ray responded briefly about Rhonda and their extensive touring around Australia. Minutes: Minutes of the October General Meeting were accepted as true and correct. Moved; Jenny White. Incoming mail: Newsletters from other Central Coast Probus groups Various Travel brochures Two resignations Two email; 'Letters of Interest’ for membership Outgoing Mail: Newsletters to other Central Coast Probus Clubs. Adopted; Treasurers Report: Rod Robey. Cash in hand; $12659. Member’s Fund $750; Special Deposit $6030 Adopted; Welfare Report: Gaby Shaudinn. She has sent out several cards to sick members during the passed October Senior Vice President Report: Frank Kelett. Frank reminded members who had not signed a Declaration Form that forms were available today. All members are required to fill out the form. Do not name your spouse as your contact person in a case of an emergency Junior Vice President: Mary Lyttleton: ‘Coast Creations’; Christmas Pink Lunch had been postponed until 2009 due to the fact that the club’s Christmas Dinner was being held in the evening. Craft ladies would still meet on Wednesday December 3rd. There would be no January meeting. Over 2008 the group have knitted many squares, singlets and beanies for the babies in Africa. Membership Report: Rawson Ball. Two resignations have been received. Program Report: Graham Nestor. Tuesday, December 2nd: Premier’s Gala Concert. 40+ seats available. Ballot to be held at the end of the meeting Thursday, December 11th; Hunter Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular; $30p/h to cover bus and entry. A BYO evening picnic. Monday, January 26th 2008; Australia Day Cruise on Sydney Harbour. Final payment at the January meeting. Thursday, February 19th; ‘Posh Cocktail Party’ Toowoon Bay Surf Club. $24 p/h. ’Dress Up’ evening with champagne, wine, beer and finger food. Wednesday, March 11th; Theatre party ‘Pyjama Game’. Laycock Theatre. Friday March 13th; Anniversary Dinner at ‘Glengara’ a ‘masquerade’ event. Whitsunday Cruise; 32 members interested. More details later. ‘Coast’ Sausage Sizzlers; Ian Neill. Wednesday November19th at Picnic Point, The Entrance. Wednesday December 17th; Christmas “Sausage Sizzle’ at Toowoon Park, if wet to be held in the Toowoon Bay Surf Club. ‘Coast Bowls’ report; Rawson Ball Friday November 14th, 9-15 until 12noon. Player list available. No game in December. ‘Coast Golf’ report; Ross Quinn. Wednesday November 26th; Christmas Golf Day. A 4 clubs game. A fun day. Last game was rained out. Bill Andrews presented Harry Hayes with a plastic poncho so he can play in future wet game ‘Coast Garden Club’ report; Ross Quinn. October 21st-23rd Blue Mountain Tour. Guest Speaker: Carl Bliim; A NRMA presentation on ‘Road Safety for Seniors’ was introduced by Frank Kelett. After his presentationPippa Ball thanked Carl and presented him with a gift from the club.
